Granville Island Boatyard and the Maritime Market & Marina are currently accepting applications for a boatyard and marina maintenance laborer. This role would include tasks within the boatyard such as pressure washing hulls, and blocking boats, but will also cover building maintenance and dock work. As a result, this position offers a varied and interesting work environment, which grants the opportunity to utilize (and gain) knowledge of marine maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, machine operation and more. We require extra help for the summer months, but if the placement is successful, there is a possibility that you will be offered a full time position.

We are a small company, looking for an energetic, long term, addition to our team. Applicant should have a valid driver's license and some knowledge in the boatyard/marina industry. Construction knowledge and heavy equipment experience would be an asset.

Duties include:

-General labor

-Forklift use

-Pressure washing

-Blocking boats

-Housekeeping tasks for docks and boatyard

-Environmental room maintenance

-Dock maintenance

-Assist the boatyard manager as required
