Nanaimo Dragonboat Festival

It’s wet. It’s wild. It’s a weekend of free fun for the entire family. Save on Foods presents the annual Nanaimo Dragon Boat Festival  at Maffeo Sutton Park. Dragon boat racing is one of the most unique events that you will ever get to witness so take the time to come down to cheer on the racers, to join in the celebration, and to soak up some the sun then stay for the Farmer’s Market, the food, and the multicultural performances.

There will be 19 seeded heats with 8 boats of 4 lanes - over 6 hours of racing per day.
Low tide at 2.77 ft happens at 11:28 am on Saturday and 2.61ft at 12:02 pm Sunday. Races are fast and fearless. Enjoy!
