BOATING DESTINATIONS

WELCOME TO THE BIGGEST WILDERNESS IN THE WORLD.

British Columbia’s mountains are immense. Our forests are vast. But the most spectacular part of our nature is found in and on our waters. We are a boating mecca: one of the premiere boating destinations on the planet, thanks to our year-round access, pristine wilderness, and abundance of marine life. There are 48,200 kilometres of highways across British Columbia, but there are 27,000 kilometres of coastline alone - and that doesn’t include the thousands of lakes and rivers across the province. As spectacular as we are on land, you can’t enjoy the full splendor of British Columbia without a boat.

There is so much to discover and explore – from our remote and rugged coastlines, to downtown city lights; from the mighty Fraser River to Okanagan Lake; the Kootenay’s to the Cariboo - BC has it all. Every region is unique – some offer the perfect conditions for skiing or relaxing, others for fishing or whale watching – it doesn’t matter if you cruise, sail or paddle – there truly is something for everyone. And if you don’t have your own boat, you can always rent, join a tour or, if you have the experience, charter. Whichever your preference, you won’t be disappointed; Because BC is Better on a Boat!TM
