What you will do/Key responsibilities:

The primary objective of the Service Advisor is to elevate the client experience. You will be the first point of contact for all the customers.

You will answer incoming phone calls:

• Schedule appointments
• Take messages
• Answer customer questions and sell services required

You will assist customers:

• Greet customers when they arrive
• Create work orders and estimates for customers
• Act as the liaison between customers and tech’s
• Let customers know about current and upcoming services needed.
• Explain why it is important that these services are completed
• Answer technical question for customers
• Set and exceed customer expectations
• Take payment for completed services
• Help customers unhook or hook up when they drop off or pick up their boat

You will work orders & Estimates:

• Create and see through to completion external work orders and estimates. Estimates and work orders are created from customer needs and our recommendations.
• Create and see through to completion internal work orders and estimates
• Create and see through to completion warranty work orders
• Adjust work orders as needed and make customers aware of necessary repairs as well as repairs or additions that we recommend.
• Explain cost of repairs and seek customer approval
• Enter sublet invoices into work orders
• Schedule work orders and jobs according to priority
• Collect money for services and finalize work orders

The experience and academic/educational background and mindset you bring to this role:

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years’ service advising experience.
• Extensive knowledge of marine industry, an asset.
